Over the past two and a half years, NETTP has grown in size and influence in the political scene of North Texas. Our grassroots organization is an all-volunteer group promoting our core principles of:
- Limited Government
- Fiscal Responsibility
- Personal Responsibility
- Rule of Law
- National Sovereignty
Up to this point, we have promoted these principles by doing everything possible to educate voters about issues and candidates, but our charter has not allowed us to endorse specific candidates or ballot initiatives. We, as an organization, have had to remain neutral in important elections. This is about to change!
NETTP has created the NETTP PAC, which is a separate organization but is made up of our tea party members. Our PAC will endorse and promote those candidates that best represent our core principles. We believe that this is the next logical step in making a positive difference in our government.
All of us on the PAC Board are newcomers to political activism, like most people in the tea party movement, so we have decided to start small. Our mission in 2012 is to pick the best qualified candidates in the seven State House and Senate races that touch the NETTP market area and support them in the Republican primary.
Our endorsement alone should help a more conservative candidate in his/her efforts to beat an entrenched RINO incumbent, but we want to do more. We want our endorsement to also include an equal share of the money that we raise in the lead-up to the March primary. Our goal is to raise $4,000, which will allow us to give $500 to each candidate and use the rest for promotion. We are counting on our membership to help us do this.
Please donate today by making out a check to NETTP PAC and mailing it to our treasurer’s address below.
