NE Tarrant Tea Party PAC
NE TARRANT TEA PARTY PAC IS PROUD TO ANNOUNCE ITS ENDORSEMENTS FOR THE May 29th PRIMARY
- Our country faces difficult choices and serious problems that require capable leadership. Fortunately, accomplished candidates have stepped forward to confront these daunting challenges. The NE Tarrant Tea Party PAC enthusiastically supports the candidacies of Stephanie Klick, Jonathan Stickland, Matt Krause, Giovanni Capriglione, Mark Shelton and Kelly Hancock. We believe these candidates reflect the core values of limited government, fiscal responsibility, personal responsibility and rule of law.
Concerned citizens exercising common sense and good judgment discovered the merits of joining Tea Party groups to return fiscal responsibility and sound management principles to government. The nation’s Founders clearly believed that for the Republic to prosper and freedom to prevail, an educated electorate must choose principled people to occupy the important offices of the land. The NE Tarrant Tea Party PAC has identified worthy candidates that have the necessary experience, training, proven virtue and wisdom to restore fiscal stability to Texas and establish an economic climate conducive to responsible growth and prosperity.
A primary election is the first and most important step in the process of electing a candidate to office. This is when each vote counts the most and provides the ability to select the candidate that best represents the values of conservatism. The Texas primary election day has finally been set and is scheduled for May 29th, 2012.

From the Candidates…
Texas State Senate, District 9:
Kelly Hancock
“The numbers show that government has grown faster than population and inflation, and we must learn to reduce the size of government.”
“You cannot spend what you do not have. Revenue figures show us that the state is bringing in enough revenue. It is our expenditures that are growing beyond a sustainable level, and we are going to have to do without programs that are outside of our state’s necessity.”
“I do not believe that a student’s physical street address should determine where they are required to attend school. I believe that when we empower others, including parents and students, we encourage them to succeed, and when we take away their ability to choose we take some of that power away.”
Texas State Senate, District 10:
Mark Shelton
“It is time to return fiscally and socially conservative leadership to Senate District 10 and bring a pragmatic approach toward government back to Tarrant County.”
“Government, much like responsible individuals, must learn to live within its means.”
“At the state level, we need to stay the course by balancing the budget without raising taxes or violating the integrity of the Rainy Day Fund.”
Texas State House, District 91:
Stephanie Klick
“We need to cut spending. We can begin by eliminating waste and fraud in the budget.”
“Our nation is at a critical time. Government has gotten too big and it costs too much.”
“Liberals see government as the solution to all our problems, while conservatives view government as the cause of many of our problems.”
Texas State House, District 92:
Jonathan Stickland
“As state representative it is my duty to put the people of my district first. The federal government continues to shove laws, regulations and agenda at us that we know is not in our best interest. I will consider it my duty to stand strong against Washington on any issue that does not benefit my constituents and other fellow Texans.”
“As conservative Republicans we must draw a line in the sand and say ‘no more.’ ”
“I intend to go to Austin to fight for limited government and a return to the constitutional role of governance.”
Texas State House, District 93:
Matt Krause
“We must have representatives who are willing to make the hard decisions and who can offer responsible and effective measures to get our fiscal house in order.”
“Zero-based budgeting would allow Texas to take a careful look at all the places it is spending money and use those funds more efficiently.”
“The Rainy Day Fund should not be used to bail out the bad decisions of the legislature.”
Texas State House, District 98:
Giovanni Capriglione
“We should always consider cuts in spending before tapping the Rainy Day Fund. I would support a constitutional amendment requiring that the Rainy Day Fund be used only to balance current-year shortfalls so the dollars cannot be used to grow government.”
“The federal government has refused to follow through on their responsibility to secure our border. As a result Texas must fill in the gap. We can’t wait for D.C. to fix a problem they refuse to address. We must continue to provide resources to our border in order to protect our economy and curb the flow of illegal immigration.”
“A shortfall in the budget must be countered with additional cuts, a push to opt out of the Medicaid program, bring it in state, and provide a pro-growth business strategy.”
